NPR One App Reviews

NPR One is the perfect fit for my NPR needs. I can hear the National headlines and also get a lineup of stories from all member stations as well as my local member station. Ive also discovered new programs that I didnt know about and Ive explored programs that I only had a slight knowledge of. Overall, a great experience. I will continue to use NPR One daily.

For those that dont already listen to podcasts I think this is a GREAT upgrade from the regular radio, however for someone like myself that already subscribes to half a dozen podcasts ... Some of which arent even available on this app IE This American Life... I would like to see a "not interested" button or the ability to block certain podcasts since Ive already listened to them in my apple podcasts app

I love this app. Makes it fast and easy to catch up on the news. Then I can easily follow programs I like or search for titles. No complaints.

Now the ability to select other stories seems severely limited. Used to be able to select from a number of "more" stories, but now its just four? To be honest, Ive about quit using it at all. Which makes me sad, I used to like it, but they seem now to want to feed you just a limited stream. Might as well listen to radio.

Ive had this app a while and its still one I use a lot. I like how each time I fire up the app it starts with the news summary. Then it goes into other great stories. Forget binge watching, now Im binge listening! Although I do wish we could toggle off the long podcasts so theyre not mixed in.

This app is still very creaky. Without a way to indicate stories you dont want to hear, it will keep feeding you items that are not of interest. They seem to lack a refined way of determining why you like something. For instance, you might be interested in a story labelled "health" on allergies, but have no interest in the latest on the Zyka virus. But Zyka stories you will get. I have to skip at least 5 stories for every one I like. And now I can no longer skip because of some as yet undiagnosed bug, so the app is basically useless to me at the moment. The up side is that Ive uncovered some interesting new podcasts. Verdict still out on this one.

I work overnights as a HHA and often listen to programs from this APP. Its at my leisure and helps keep my mind engaged while clients are resting.

Not quite sure how I survived without this beautifully designed, easy to use app for streaming my favorite NPR programs and finding ones that I like

I like the idea of the app but its glitchy. The sound will fade in/out or get choppy. When Im listening to radio/podcasts in doing other things. I cant stop and tap to select the next story. It needs more of a Pandora like filter.

Very limited selection. Cant stream live shows. The old app was great. This one is a step backward.
